Compare the board layout as well as the loading limit

MRV328 and MRV208-1 both provide eight HUB75E module connections and up to sixteen parallel RGB data groups. Their documented PWM loading limit is 256 × 256 at 60 Hz. Compare the exact board dimensions, mounting drawing and required feature conditions before choosing a replacement or new cabinet design.

Module connections and cabinet integration

01 / module

Eight HUB75E module connections

Both models provide eight standard HUB75E connectors and up to sixteen groups of parallel RGB data. Check the exact pin definitions before matching the receiving card to the LED modules.

Keep PWM loading conditions visible

Both models specify up to 256 × 256 at 60 Hz with PWM driver ICs. MRV328 additionally documents support for up to 1/32 scan.

Match the exact mechanical layout

MRV328 and MRV208-1 have different board dimensions and mounting layouts. Use the model drawing when checking fit; a shared connector family does not establish a drop-in replacement.

04 / cascade calibration

Cascade and calibrate the system

Either Gigabit Ethernet port can serve as input or output for cascading. Both models support pixel calibration through NovaStar tools.

01 / module-fit

Check the module configuration

Match the HUB75E pin definitions, data-group allocation and PWM loading requirement to the selected card.

02 / network

Connect the sending-card network

Use the Gigabit Ethernet ports to connect the sending card and cascade receiving cards. Either Ethernet port may serve as input or output.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are MRV328 and MRV208-1 mechanically interchangeable?

The specifications give different dimensions and mounting drawings. Their shared HUB75E connection type is not evidence of a drop-in replacement. Match the exact mechanical drawing and module connections to the cabinet.

What condition applies to the 256 × 256 loading limit?

Both exact-model documents state 256 × 256 at 60 Hz for PWM driver ICs. Preserve the driver and frame-rate conditions when comparing the cards; the figure is not a general LED refresh-rate specification.

What additional condition applies to 3D output?

The receiving card must work with a sending card or controller that supports 3D. The receiving-card feature list alone does not establish that the rest of the display system supports a 3D workflow.

How do the Ethernet and HUB75E connections work?

Both models provide eight HUB75E module connectors and Gigabit Ethernet ports; either Ethernet port can act as input or output when cascading receiving cards.

Are the software requirements identical?

No. MRV328 documents NovaLCT V5.2.0 or later for bit-error detection and firmware readback. MRV208-1 documents NovaLCT for mapping. Use the exact-model workflow.
